Over the past few months, I’ve been experimenting with different ways to grow my audience — not just by posting more, but by engaging more.
And one lesson really clicked:
You don’t grow by posting. You grow by being part of conversations.
📢 The underestimated power of replies
A good reply can:
- Put your profile in front of a new audience
- Spark meaningful conversations (aka algorithm fuel)
- Build trust and familiarity with your niche
- Show your personality and voice
- Get retweeted, bookmarked, or even featured
The best part? You don’t need 100K followers to do this.
You just need to show up — consistently — in the right threads, with high-quality responses.
💀 But here’s the catch…
- Finding time to reply is hard
- Writing something thoughtful takes mental energy
- And doing it across Twitter, LinkedIn, Reddit, etc. gets overwhelming
I used to open X, scroll through mentions and interesting posts, and just… stare.
“Should I be supportive? Funny? Insightful? Ugh, I’ll come back later.” (I didn’t.)
💡 What helped: using AI (the smart way)
So I started testing a small AI Chrome extension that helps me:
- Auto-generate reply options based on the original tweet/post
- Set tone/mood: supportive, challenging, funny, etc.
- Maintain my voice — I set my personality, and it adapts
- Works on multiple platforms (X, LinkedIn, Reddit)
It doesn’t replace me — I still edit and approve everything.
But it speeds things up, gives me a head start, and helps me stay active without burning out.
📈 Since I started replying more (with AI assist):
- I’ve gained more followers from replies than from some of my own posts
- My DMs have more actual conversations, not just emoji reactions
- And I feel like I’m part of my niche, not just broadcasting into the void
Want to grow faster on social? Don’t just post — reply better (even faster, with AI)
